WHAT IS THE VILLAGES PITTSBURGH CLUB? It is a not-for-profit organization whose goal is to promote social interaction among Village residents who lived in or near Pittsburgh at one time.
WHERE/WHEN ARE THE MEETINGS? The Villages Pittsburgh Club meets on the third Thursday of each month in the Americana Room of Mulberry Center from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. If a meeting is cancelled or an alternate date is required due to holiday conflicts, notification is given through the media and by electronic mail, if available.
WHO MAY JOIN? Effective May 1, 2006, new members are not being accepted into the club. According to the By-Laws of the Club, effective September 2004, membership shall be available to any Village resident who lived in Pennsylvania within a 30-mile radius of downtown Pittsburgh or is married to, coupled with, or residing with a Village resident who meets the aforementioned requirement. This provision does not affect members who joined prior to September 2004.
HOW MUCH ARE THE DUES? Dues are $5.00 per person payable at time of sign up. This initial membership fee includes a basic badge. Membership renewal dues are set by the Executive Board each year. Regardless of the date of original membership, renewals run from April through the following March.
WHAT OCCURS AT THE MEETINGS? There is a short business agenda each month followed by a social and in-club activities as planned by In-Club Activities Committee.
